Game 9: Orioles 1, Rays 9

The Good: * My man Jason Berken, coming in in relief and pitching five effective innings. Final line: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 5 K. He really saved the pen today, in a game that was lost way too early. * Miguel Tejada walked and homered at the plate. The Bad: * Bergesen was terrible: 3 IP, 7 H, 8 R (5 ER), 2 BB, 3 K, 2 HR. More on him later. *No offense again. Sigh. My "it's not like things can get worse" idea is to start benching players if they swing at more than, say, 3 pitches out of the strike-zone in a game. The Final: O's lose 9-1. Now 1-8 on the season. It feels like September in Baltimore. Might have to take a couple days off from the previews/wraps - I don't like the blanket negativity creeping in.
